Evidence of recce London scene

These are the pictures of the the establishing shot of the London scene the pictures look a bit dull because the weather has affected the quality but they are still good enough for the opening sequence. We could try to make them better when editing them so they are a bit brighter. Also, we could maybe try to go up there as a group to get better ones but we cannot predict what the whether will be like so we will stick with these pictures.

Production Journal 4

Last week a member of our group Laura Heath went to London to get shots for parts of the office scene. We needed establishing shots of the setting of the office so we thought London would be the best place as it has a lot of office buildings and it looks professional. Other members of the group couldn't make it because we all had lessons nut Laura had a free lessons so she volunteered to go take the shots.

She got a variety of shots that we could use a pan, so we can establish the area. The weather was cloudy but it only affected the filming a little bit. Also, as it is a busy location it took her quite a lot of time to get some reasonable shots.

Test Edit: Love on the Line

This is a test edit of what we've done so far, to see what can be re-filmed. Also the actor playing Eddie Lee has been replaced so we would need to film that scene again. Also because we haven't filmed the scene in Eddie Lee's bedroom we just added what it would look like in the split screen. The timing is also too long so that is another thing we need to consider when putting everything together so we could cut it short where appropriate.

Evidence of recce Office scene

These are pictures of the group getting ready to film the office scene. We also directed the actor on what to do and how to do it because he had difficulties understanding exactly what he needed to do so we had to show him.

Production journal 3

Today 27 January was our third day of filming. We decided to film the office scene again because the actor we used previously couldn't continue to be in our opening sequence so we had to find someone else. When we found someone else we filmed the office scene again and there were no problems while filming apart from people walking down the corridor.

We also took pictures of the location to test the brightness of the place because it was a bit dark in the corridor but we can fix the lighting during editing.

These are pictures of us setting up and taking pictures of the scene to see if the lighting was bright enough or what angles would be best to use whilst filming. Also to have evidence of what we had done.

Production Journal 2

Yesterday 23 January was our second filming day. The scene we was filming was the train station scene. We used welling train station as it was the closest one for all of the group members to get to and the actors.

Before we started filming we took pictures as evidence or recce to see what angles would work whilst filming and also to have evidence of filming and setting up to film.

There were problems we had to consider before we started filming like if both trains arrived on the platform at the same time because the arrival time for the train were nearly the same time. So if a train came it would disrupt our filming and because we were filming on a sunday a train comes every half hour so we would have to wait for half hour for another train. Also the weather was gloomy which kind of affected the lighting for filming but it didn't look very bad on the camera.

Another problem was that the male actor was running late and we had problems trying to contact him. However after we filmed parts of the train station scene and time was running out we decided it was time to leave because we waited for him for and hour and fifteen minutes and he still didn't turn up so we left and figured out another day to finish this scene.

Although there were a few problems we still filmed some key parts and we can edit the footage that we have.

Production Journal

Today 13 January was our first day of Filming. We choose to film our office scene because we are using parts of our school as the sene for the office. Other scenes will be filmed outside school. We had a corridor and a few doors which we needed for our actors to use as part of the scene.

We had a few problems during and even before filming. Firstly one of the main actors decided he didn't want to part in of our opening title any longer so we had to find a replacement in a short space of time to finish editing before our deadline.

We made sure that our other actor was able to take part because we informed him about filming a couple of weeks ago. We went to where we was going to be filming our office scene and found a good spot to use. However we still needed to find a replacement but we did manage to find a suitable person to use.

Luckily we found a suitable actor on the way to our setting. This meant we was able to get some filming done and we are a bit closer to completing the work we need to do.

Other problems arose too. The corridor that we was using was a bit busy and regularly used, which meant we often had people walking in front of our shots and we had to take it again and took a lot of time to complete. We could of used another corridor but we thought this one was the best one.

Also with change of character we had to change parts of our plans, which we struggled to resolve at first but we eventually came to conclusion that we could all be there for and would fit in with all our different schedule.

Fonts for the title

These are examples of the type of fonts we would use in out title sequence.
The first one is the one would suit the concept of our title sequence best because it is a romantic comedy and this font looks fancy as would the fonts in a romantic comedy.

Storyboard Animatic: Love on the Line

This is an animatic of our storyboard and we have tried to make it look as real and as they would look in the real title sequence. Also because we haven't got our actors names yet we couldn't include it in the animatic.

Institution Logo idea 2: Animation

This is an animation of the institution logo 2. We have done an animation to suggest an idea of how it would appear in the title sequence.

Institution Logo idea 2

This is the second idea for our institution logo. The square symbolises the amount of people in our group because there is four of us in 1 group.

Institution Logo idea 1

This is the first idea for our institution logo. We have done this in a 3D shape to have a different design. The square symcbolises the amount of people in our group because ther is four of us.
